Sending children home with a sticker can really help home school communication.
This approach allows teachers to communicate the phonics curriculum with parents. Attaching the sticker corresponding with the sound the child has learnt that day allows anyone involved in the child’s care to immediately help the child to practise and consolidate the learning, (this could be a cleaner, lunch time support staff and anyone else who makes contact with that child.)
When the sound sicker is displayed, a dialogue can begin: ‘what is the sound on your t-shirt?’ ‘Can you think of any words featuring that sound?’ and so on.
This pack is intended for use by teachers. You will receive 30 sticker sheets, including the main grapheme correspondences from phases 2-5. These stickers are large enough to be seen clearly and the font colour matches the progression of our programme.
